congrega is built by a developer who is active in a congregation themselves. The platform is shaped from real, day-to-day use — in close exchange with the first congregations who put it to work.

Where is data stored?

It is your choice. With congrega Online, data lives on servers within the EU, GDPR-compliant and without tracking. With congrega Local, it lives on your own hardware on your premises — personal data then never leaves the building. Many congregations prefer exactly that.

Do I need technical know-how?

No. The platform runs in your browser — on a computer or on a phone. If you can write an email, you can use congrega.

What if the maps don’t fit my needs?

Every order starts with a free trial print. Nothing is charged until you’re happy with the result — otherwise there are no costs.

Can I cancel at any time?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Management is billed yearly and only renews if you want it to. You can request an export of your data at any time.

Does this work with OpenStreetMap data?

Accepted Answer

Yes. All maps are generated from current OpenStreetMap data — including street names, house numbers, and building outlines. Whenever the data changes, maps can be regenerated at any time.

How do I print the territory maps?

You receive a print-ready PDF at the correct scale. Print it yourself or order it from a print shop. Every order starts with a free trial print.

Which file formats can I import?

Existing territory data can be imported in KML, GeoJSON, CSV and other formats — typically from Google Earth, QGIS, spreadsheets, or exports from other tools.

Can we work entirely without the cloud and internet?

Yes. With congrega Local the whole territory management runs on your own hardware on your local network on-site. Day-to-day work needs no internet connection and no cloud service — personal data stays entirely with you.

What does the local edition with hardware and setup cost?

Accepted Answer

congrega Local is offered broken down by line item: license, updates and maintenance, preconfigured hardware, and on-site setup. Since hardware and effort vary per site, we prepare a custom quote — just drop us a short message.

Question 11

Can we switch from Online to Local later?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Both editions use the same software, so switching is possible at any time. Existing data can be carried over, so you can move from the online solution to the local edition without losing anything (and vice versa).
